The Village Quilters guild started as a result of classes given at Village Fabrics, a quilt shop in downtown Glen Ellyn in 1987-1988.  From a handful of people to our current membership of 65 we have evolved into a viable quilt guild.  There is a quilt show sponsored by the guild every two years.

Meetings:  September through June, 7:00 PM at St. Daniel The Prophet's on the West Loop drive in the Danada area of Wheaton.  July and August meetings are informal gatherings.

Dues and responsibilities of members:  $25 for one year.  Must volunteer a minimum of 6 hours at the bi-annual quilt show, donate a raffle basket once every few years, and take a turn setting up and taking down the meeting room.

Throughout the year our guild collects underwear for the women's shelter in Wheaton and makes baby quilts to be given to poor families in our area.
